The Barber post

We went to Barber... and it was good!

Packed up the van

And headed out.

Matt

 Kate

 Skyler

 Jr.

myself

...and Barb the Barber Barbie

Got to Kileys in the middle of the night

And then broke the van first thing in the morning

Matt didn't mind, mostly 'cause he used it as an excuse to start drinkin'

Got back to Kileys, and fixed the van.

 There's yer problem!

Then Kate's bike was broken, so I scribbled on it

Then Skylers bike broke

So we went to the races:

Awesome!

Damn awesome!

...and damn!

Rode a little bit, painted a little bit, and hung out a little bit

The man to see in Alabama

Then Jr.s bike broke

so we went to the museum

watched Flug put Nixon back together
 and went home
Until next year...

Bored

Down to the last split.
I would have just moved onto the transmission from here without stopping, that's the only reason I pulled the thing apart after all. But I found this:

Note the broken oil ring on the piston, that's what did the damage to the cylinder wall. To get this out I have to go bigger. That wasn't in the plan, or budget, but it's the only way to get this thing back on the road, so it had to happen. After much searching much of which landed on piston kits that were about $650 (which isn't possible) I got pointed to a much cheaper one on ebay that a friend who's opinions I respect told me looked good. So $110 later I got these.

Also just now I picked up my cylinders, all fresh and clean clean.

From a local lawn mower shop $165. Engine building on the cheap. Wish me luck.

We can't have anything nice!

Got this bad boy in the mail... and got to work
This didn't work. I was alone this night, and it turns out I needed less junk hanging off the frame, and more people hanging around the garage. So the next night with a few of the locals recruited the thing practically fell out.

All I had to do was leave the room for a second, and when I came back, it was out. They wouldn't tell me the horrible things that they had to do to her... but I think it involved water boarding (you didn't hear that from me). I was able to borrow this absolutely awesome bracket from Fast Eddie.
Now she's sitting o so pretty, ready for the big teardown. I must admit being a little intimidated by all the pistons and valves and what not, but I'll get through it eventually.

Pull up a seat

Had to cut up the deck that carried me all over the streets of Seattle for the two years that I lived there.

Had to add a little foam, hopefully this one will be a little more forgiving than the seat that I've got on ludbike is.

It's good to have friends, one of my buddies that works in the fashion industry was able to score me some tasty peeled cows.

All of which I dropped off at Rays. This place is just down the street from my old office and I used him for the red vinyl seat that I put on the Bugatti push car that I made for my Daughters first birthday.

A week, and a hundred dollar bill (a little overpriced) later I picked up this

I'm a bit lukewarm on it. He definitely took some artistic liberties with it and I liked my diamonds better. I'm overall satisfied with it, but I don't think I'll be going to him again.

I still haven't been able to figure out the mounting just yet, I got the bike running, but I've got no first gear, so I'm tearing her down and the seat's dropped down the priority list.
